Hello families and TK friends! This is Mrs. Ervin and I am so excited to meet our new class of TK Friends tomorrow at Tahoe Valley Elementary. A few things to keep in mind for the start of tomorrow's adventures:
1. FIRST-DAY REMINDERS
ONE PARENT MUST ATTEND SCHOOL TOMORROW WITH YOUR CHILD.School hours for TK tomorrow are 8:45am - 10:30am. Note that this is a shortened day to introduce everyone to school routines and staff.
Arrive at 8:45am and check-in in the MPR/Thunderbird Theater located to the left of the main school doors.
You will find our class table, put the Yellow bracelet on your child's wrist (this helps us identify where kiddos go throughout the first week), and you'll be directed to our classroom for the fun to start.
We will complete a family activity, teachers will meet with the parent group, the principal with meet with the parent group, and all TK/K students will be released to you at 10:30am.
2. TK SCHOOL HOURS:
REGULAR TK HOURS are 8:05am - 12:05pm every day, including minimum days and Wednesday early-out days.
3. SCHOOL SUPPLIES (not required on the first day)
Full-size backpack that can hold a full-size folder, lunch box (optional), and snow clothes. Please do not send mini-backpacks to school.
I will provide all your school supplies (yay!). The only thing you will need to provide for your child is a water bottle labeled with their name and a lunchbox (optional). NOTE: Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for all students thanks to a new California Initiative so lunchboxes and home lunch are an option.
We will have a Classroom Wishlist to share with families tomorrow, but these items are fully optional.
